When I order seeds, how long before I can expect to receive them?

We try to dispatch orders within a week of receipt, however during our busy period this can take longer.

How many parcels can I expect my order to arrive in?

If you have just ordered seeds from section one of the garden catalogues, we would hope that you would receive just one parcel. However if a product is temporarily out of stock (this includes potatoes and other seasonal items which are only available at certain times of the season) we would send as much of your order as possible and the other items would be listed in the O/S column on your delivery note. We then send these outstanding items as soon as they become available.

Why on an item does it say for instance: NEW SEASON OCTOBER 2008?

Whilst we try to keep ample stocks of all seed, sometimes crop failures are unavoidable. Also with perishable items such as onions and shallots, once they are sold out in the spring they remain sold out until the next spring; we cannot accept orders for these until new season prices are fixed, usually by autumn.

Is there a minimum order?

We have no minimum order.

Do you sell overseas?

We can send seeds and seed potatoes to anywhere within the EU, you can order online and an email will be sent to us, so that we can calculate carriage and email you back with costs. Outside the EU, very much depends on what species are involved and which country you want to import the seeds into. We check with DEFRA who can advise on any testing that may be necessary and the import regulations of a particular country please email for details.

What happens if the variety I have chosen is not available?

We will send you a substitute. To us a substitute has to be something similar to the item originally ordered, please remember we do not necessarily know why you chose a particular variety. If we cannot find a suitable alternative, we will refund your credit or debit card and send you a confirmation through the post notifying you of this. You must mention in Other Details when ordering if you do not require any substitutes. In this instance we would simply refund your debit or credit card and send a confirmation through the post notifying you of the problem.

Will you pass on my details?

We do not sell our mailing lists and we have a secure site for your credit and debit card transactions. The only people we would pass on your name and address and telephone number to would be the courier, to help them deliver your parcel.
